The Health Innovation Observatory – Australia (HIO-A)
is a national research initiative dedicated to building Australia’s horizon scanning capability. Through three integrated work packages, the team is developing co-designed processes, advanced data and AI-driven methodologies, and sustainable governance frameworks. Working closely with patients, policymakers, healthcare providers, regulators, and international partners, HIO-A aims to create a robust, responsive, and nationally significant system for identifying emerging health innovations.
