Work Package 1 will establish national horizon scanning processes through structured engagement with end-users, including patients, regulators, government health departments, hospitals and international horizon scanning (HS) bodies.
It involves identifying desired HS inputs and outputs, running Delphi studies to define short- and long-term HS processes, and selecting use-case technologies for piloting. Iterative consultation and feedback cycles will ensure outputs remain relevant and tailored to stakeholder needs. The outcome will be a set of validated, co-designed processes that form the foundation for a robust and responsive Australian HS system.
