Join the Health Innovation Observatory – Australia for its annual Horizon Scanning Symposium, bringing together representatives from government, health systems, industry, academia and patient groups to explore the future of horizon scanning in Australia.
The symposium will provide an update on what the Observatory has established to date, including the development of its horizon scanning capability and progress across its latest research activities. The program will also examine how a national or coordinated approach could identify emerging medicines, diagnostics and health technologies, and help decision-makers prepare for their potential impact on the Australian health system.
Through presentations, a keynote address and facilitated panel discussions, attendees will consider what horizon scanning should deliver for Australia, what different stakeholders need from such a capability, and how signals about emerging innovations can be translated into preparedness and action.
